AI-powered soil analysis replacing $15K/season lab testing
The Problem
Alberta farmers spend up to $15,000 per season on slow, expensive soil lab testing with no real-time crop recommendations — a recurring cost for a typical Alberta farm.
What I Built
Cross-platform mobile app (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS) that analyzes a litmus strip photo via phone camera. RGB values feed a regression model to calculate nutrient PPM, then Google Gemini 1.5 Flash with RAG delivers geolocated, crop-specific recommendations in real time. Built with AES-256 encryption and Security by Design throughout.

UAV-Based Agronomic Sampling System
USRI-funded autonomous drone for physical soil sampling
The Problem
No substantial prior research existed on autonomous drones performing physical soil sampling — an identified gap in academic literature. Agronomist and lab visits cost a typical Alberta farmer up to $1,440/year.
What I Built
Proof-of-concept autonomous drone on a Holybro X650 frame with Pixhawk 6C flight controller and Raspberry Pi 4B companion computer integrated via custom MAVLink telemetry. Custom 3D-modeled and printed robotic arm for soil collection, soil processing funnel with mixing and filtering, and camera-based sample analysis box. GPS waypoint missions via ArduPilot, controlled by custom Python scripts over MAVLink. Co-authored with Allan Lam, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Elmorsy and Dr. Samuel Mugo.

I'm a Computer Science graduate from MacEwan University (B.Sc., Systems & Information Security, Minor in Accounting — June 2025), with hands-on experience across full-stack development, autonomous robotics, and real-world cybersecurity.
I've led an AI-powered agricultural IoT platform, engineered an autonomous drone sampling system, conducted a professional cybersecurity audit for a legal firm, and shipped a live full-stack web product — placing in the top 1% nationally (72nd of 4,893 teams) in the Cyber Skyline NCL competition along the way.
